Drowning Landscapes
Coming from Cornwall and growing up near the sea you develop a fondness and a real understanding of the beauty and fragility of the coast.
A response to that connection is an on going project of submerging canvasses in and around the Cornish coast. Like large litmus papers they soak up the sea, collect algae, pollution and take all mother nature can offer.
A development of the Drowning Landscapes series plays with my internal batlle of not being able to live near the coast due to work and responsibility and the inescapable truth that is tides and time.
